I strongly suggest the P-QC. For quilting n piecing. I researched before I got mine and really have been saved when it won't so cuz I had a "moment" n forot to put the foot down. A lot better than trying to fix a mess in the middle of a sandwich

I love my 1600p DBX. It does have a thread cutter, but it's a "straight stitch" machine so you can't move the needle from side to side. It stitches up to 2600 stitches per minute as apposed to about 800 on the 6260 (which I have also). My 6260 is used for decorative stitches and some piecing. I also have a Janome Embroidery machine.
Yes, I do love Janome machines LOL
