Are you up to attempting curves. I think they are easier than triangle points!

Sorry for the double picture. Both these patterns are easy- peezy and chooing the right colors will make them elegant. If you float the stars in the background you don't have to worry so much about cutting off the points. You can fudge it and it won't show as much.
