I feel your pain. I went through the same thing when my boys were young. Try this: Go to the QB User List and search on MI. You may find some QB members in your area.

Consider taking classes or going to events in areas of your interest. Some groups have stinkers who ruin the event, but don't give up. Try different groups and locations.

It took me a while, but I finally found some really nice people who inspired me.
