ICE...a couple of huge ice chests full. I freeze gallon jugs of water and leave in the freezer. In case of power failure, they will help keep food in freezer and fridge cold for several days. We had lots of neighborhood barbeques during weeks after Hurricane Ike, as we all cooked food from our freezers. A gasoline generator wouldn't hurt..noisy but will at least keep freezer and fridge running.
