When I have a horrible week or two I go check in a nice downtown hotel and stay a couple of days. DH thinks I'm nuts but it sure relieves my stress. He hates hotels but knows I'll be a much happier person when I'm unstressed. When he has a horrible week he wants to camping and hiking at his favorite camp ground.
