First thing, I come from a Very Little town. One that does not have street lights or stop sign down Main Street. Just stop signs when you cross Main Street :) With that said, when you grow up in this size of town, you know everybody. There happen to be a family that lived a few houses down from me that had kids (boy and girl) my age. We ended up playing together A Lot!!

Found out about 2 weeks ago that a little boy (Mother is the girl that I played with when I was young) had a cancerous tumor in his brain. Since then, it has been removed, but now needs to do the radiation and chemo thing.

In the last couple of weeks the people from my home town have setup a Benefit for this little boy. They will be having a Silent Auction as part of this Benefit.

I am planning on making a Lap Quilt and FMQ it in the next two weeks, if not sooner  That gives about one week to get it mailed to my parents who will bring it in for the Benefit. Takes 3 days for Priority Mail to get to them.

What I am wonder is what would you put on a label for a quilt like this. I normally make quilts for myself or my kids. I have never made anything to give away like this and am not sure what to put on the label. The quilt is meant for someone to use and am not sure if they would want on the label that it was for the Benefit or not. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, I already have the pattern picked out and my 9 year old and I are going shopping tomorrow to pick up the fabric that I need to mix with what I already have to get this done :-D
