Left to right ?? I don't recall any vintage Singer that threads
that way. right to left or from the front.----be sure your bobbin is threaded the right way also. do you have a manual. (that is probably answered elsewhere--I should read all of the answers before I jump in !) and check to see if
you threaded the top thread right.
OOPS !! I suffer from foot-in-mouth. someone could have
made a buck betting me. I was sure that vintage machine did
not thread left to right. I was WRONG !. I went to Singerco.com & looked up the 66 manual. (which is free to dowload) and yes, it does thread from left to right. the needle
is inserted with the flat side to the right. bobbin thread is counterclockwise when inserted. on the way back to here, my computer decided to have fun with me, so took a while.
