I went to a class at my LQS which is also a group of people that meet regularly. All have been in the area for ages and I am new.
My machine was made fun of-it's mechanical and an inexpensive Singer-my fabric was not cutesy or classy enough-Moda, Kauffman, etc I hadn't bought it there- and because I did not want to stay all night-the class was advertised for 10am to 6pm-I am married-I was dismissed.
I still stop by occasionally for fabric but have decided to shop on line and with my BFF when she visits or I visit her.
The owner complained to me that too many people shop on line and that it is bad for business. I felt like telling her rude and cliquish people were bad for business.
