I work waith a group making Quilts of Valor. Many are red, white and blue but many are not. I have quilted many quilts in fall colors--very masculine and nice for guys who love the outdooors. I always quilt oak leaves on those, which are symbolic of patriotism, strength and renewed life.

I've also quilted some in girly fabrics. Remember that 10% of the wounded soldiers are female.

I didn't sew these; I just quilted them. Here are pix of 2 of the many QOV that I've quilted. I love finishing them.

I know the people who get them need a lot of comfort and this is one small way I can show my thanks for their service and sacrifice.
