Well, we have a treadmill, recumbent bike, bow flex, DVDs and now an elliptical. I hate the bike(DH loves it) I was just into loving the treadmill, when I developed bursitis in my hip. Walking, running, jumping (aerobics) is no longer feasible. In PT, I was given a list of exercises to do to strengthen my core. I did those faithfully and then got really bored. I read about T-Tapp and ordered the basic workout and total workout. They are really hard at first, but you need no equipment and there is no jumping. Takes a minimal amount of space. They are not cheap, but are cheaper than the other stuff we have purchased. T-Tapp was invented by a physical therapist and if you go to her website, you can try the exercises for free(t-Tapp.com) also there is the NoExcusesWorkOut.com- uses no equipment either. I do use my elliptical b/c it doesn't irritate my bursitis-lateral movement. I miss being able to go for walks-I think that's what I hate most about this inflammation. It's better than it was and I am thankful for that.
