I had the same thing. I am an admin. asst. and did nothing but type. Had surgery in 1996 on my right hand (I'm right handed) and everything I did made it hurt. It was the hand that hurt the most. Then I had surgery on my left hand in 2008 when it got so bad I couldn't stand it. They can do tests to tell you had bad it is. I have no problems at all now and would do it over in a heart beat. It was the best thing for me. You really should see a specialist and be tested and go from there. Best of luck to you.
