My daughter has had terrible wrist pain, braces and all. When I began having the same sort of symptoms and was working my way through the various braces, her recommendation was to get a magnetic bracelet. Sure is worth a try as there are some very attractive ones out there and non-invasive--a lot more attractive that a 24/7 brace! It worked!!! I have several of those those pretty bracelets in the drawer now and, if ever I have this again, they will sure be pulled out. Like I said, it's worth a try and a lot easier and cheaper than the surgery. Surgery might be the only alternative but shouldn't be the first one--my opinion.
Do give the wrists plenty of rest, the ice routine and reasonable amounts of anti-inflammatories (such as aspirin),too, to reduce swelling and give the body every chance of healing itself. Worked for me anyhow.
