If you quilt a top to a piece of fleece that is both batt and backing and bind the edges, are you going to let someone else decide whether or not it's a quilt?

You know, it wasn't too long ago that the "experts" determined that it wasn't a "real" quilt if it wasn't hand quilted. Pfffftttt.... who cares? ;)
I didn't know that coverlets were dead. My mother quilts coverlets as do I. To us, a coverlet is a quilt that can lay on top of a double bed . It is not used in place of a quilt, au contraire, it just tells you what the size is - approximately 60x82 (give or take! I make a lot of quilted coverlets. I also make a lot of quilted double bed sized quilts.

There is baby quilt, lap quilt, coverlet, double, queen, king. That is in my vocabulary of quilting. Edie
