For those wondering about the little lanyard, The blocks are paper-pieced, and the finished size of the blocks is 3/4". I trimmed the seam allowances down to 1/8" before putting on the binding. (I glued it down, then stitched it later.) I took a class to make it, and have a call in to the teacher to see if she'd like to share the pattern.

A rose by any other name would smell just as sweet. People who feel they must justify their existance attach meaning to things and hope the world will hang on their words. Look a Pluto, once a planet and now demoted. Why? The astronamers say they have the right to do it and ask no one's permission.
The famous F&P magazine says a tied quilt isn't a qiult but a comforter. God bless whoever wrote that.
If you want to consider your work a quilt, do so and stand firm against any organization who says different! Your work from what I see is marvelous, and looks are though you put much love into a lot of work. Hugs and good fortune.

The cathedral window quilt is beautiful and I was just reading the directions for that the other day and I still can't quite figure out how it is done. The lanyard is really something else! How in the world did you manage to get the blocks so perfect? The quilt police certainly could not give you a ticket on that one. It is outstanding!!
