I have a lot of porcelain tile in my home... and I can tell you this... IT'S DURABLE.

ANYTHING glass thing you accidentally drop onto the tile (or falls out of the fridge that's glass) will break about 99% of the time unless you can buffer it's impact with your FOOT. I'm glad I went with medium color grout, but I wish I would have gone DARKER NOW.

I regret not going with a good grade vinyl. I went with tile because I am a dog lover and when they track mud in.. or get to tearing around the house the tile handles it well.

I have seen some VINYL that looks every bit as good as my tile. I won't put tile in again. I got the tile on sale, but even then it was expensive.

Just my two bits worth.

(CORRECTION**.. I wrote laminate when I mean vinyl!!). Yes...we have had other friends who had their entire laminate floor ruined by a leaking faucet while they were gone for a weekend. They REGRET putting it in due to it's inability handle any water.
