Why? I have laminate floors (they were here when we bought the place) and we love them. So easy to clean and after 4 years we can't see any wear even with 3 dogs tearing around on them.
I've had two times that the connection for the icemaker leaked...and twice we had to change out the floor...and you can't mop it...or at least not this stuff...the seams swell...and ruins the floor...not being able to wet mop is NOT a good thing in my kitchen...
