I am really not "label obsessed." IMHO the "demand" for validity or a pat on the back takes up valuable quilting time :0)
If you really feel you must correct someone's speech, I would use your example, smile politely and say..."Oh, it is not a hobby any more. I am way past that. You should see my stash."
