Having been a seamstress for decades AND doing many other crafts needlework, knit, crochet - it's rare for anyone to give me something that has been made by them. I will tell you that I positively treasure something that someone else has taken the time and thought to create a gift just for me, no matter what it is. A friend told me once that since she only 'throws together' pot pourri she feels it's a paltry gift compared to something I have made. Well, darn it.....that pot pourri makes me think of her every time I inhale it or even just walk past. What could be more special than that?
