I don't know if there is a why do my quilting, just as well ask why do you eat? to live of course, to live.
I quilt, because it feels good in my soul, it creates happiness within my being, it fills my mind with creative thoughts, it calms my spirit.
I feel the same way about my painting and knitting or anything that I do that is creative especially when I do a mindless quilt. But I am not selfish with my desires for crafting.
I know there is another human being who wants my attention too. Therefore I cook and help with some housework and then the day is mine.I don't let my crafts consume me, I take time for other things in my life. I sometimes do no crafts at for an entire day. I just spend it with hubby.
