I didn't think so - you were still "on topic" and just adding/confirming to what others had said - including the original poster's comment -

I consider it intruding if, for example - I'm talking about my dog died - and somebody posts - I have a wonderful new house and I'm so lucky - and doesn't even bother to say "sorry about your dog"
