I purchased couple of the plastic extending pocket file folders..they usually have 10-12 pockets so I separate by type of pattern....wall quilting, bed size, purse/totes, baby quilts, etc. Any pattern that I like from the many, many quilt magazines, I tear them out of the magazines & scan them into my computer & organize in file folders by type.....pieced, applique, tote, etc. I just don't have the room to keep all the mags that I buy and this has been a great way for me to keep the ones I really like & am able to easily find them in my computer. :-D
the patterns I buy, I put in pattern boxes and label the ends. I keep my magazines in wicker baskets and also some are stored in the magazine holders that you put on a bookshelf. The ones I print off the internet are not very organized, just put into manila folders.
