In the Sonora, CA, area a LQS had an incredibly beautiful rag quilt, baby size, in the bathroom. It was a single toilet room with in an older, classic, building. I loved sitting there looking at that quilt. I went home and made two for grandchildren.
Since it wasn't a Joann's type place I don't think having anyone take it was an issue. They'd be able to figure out who took it pretty easy. I thought it was a lovely idea.
