Thank you for your kind words. This is a setting used quite often in many early 19th century quilts-- a strippie. Four-patches on point were also quite common in strippie quilts.

These quilts work up quickly, with the long plain strips in between vertical rows of pieces blocks. They can be wonderfully graphic and lovely. And if solid strips are used, as in the antique quilts, that's a perfect place for exquisite quilting.
