My Designer 1 has a special hoop that will hold a sandwich and it is fine. but if you use the sticky stuff I beleive you are suppose to hoop the sticky stuff and then stick the quilt to it and then embroidery check the manufacturer and see if they have a youtube how to good luck
this is the way i use sticky. the sticky stabilizer has a cover layer. i hoop it all, then cut out the top layer and stick the fabric on
