$200.00 is way too much for that machine even in Canada. Especially if it was a donation. They just aren't that uncommon here. My aunt had one, and I didn't keep it. It never sewed particularly well, and I am fortunate to have many lovely black Singers to do my bidding

So where in Perth County are you? I'm in S.W. Ontario too!

If you were at the Antique Mall in Stratford, I do find that the vendors for those different booths really think their machines are worth much more than they really are. But someone will pay the price if they want it badly enough. Vintage Singers up here seem to be way more expensive than in the States, but there are some good buys on Kijiji if you wait long enough
