Love the video! I too get asked alot to make things for friends out of all the "stuff" I have laying around. They always get miffed if I mention them buying any supplies.
The one exception has been my neighbor who asked me if I could sew up a split seam on a pair of her uniform pants and she would take me out to lunch as a "thank you" for my time and effort. She even offered to buy the thread. (I used thread I already had.) That favor I was glad to do!
