I would perhaps include a note with this beautiful quilt saying that you will provide a financial statement so that they can have it insured for the proper amount since it is beyond the amount covered by a typical homeowner's policy. Most people do not realize that a quilt of that quality is worth way more than $500. Perhaps then they might like it a lot more.
