This is probably the least expensive of most lotions out there. I use pure Glycerin which is clear...Walmart $2.97 for 6 oz. Put a drop in one hand and add a drop of water (1:1 ratio) and rub in before you go to bed. I used to have cracks at the corners of nails and would wear four bandages at one time on both hands, but if you do this faithfully during winter/heating season, rarely will there be cracks. I use it all over my body as I have very dry skin. My heels often crack, too, but they are much better now along with the use of a sanding paddle (Sally's Beauty Supply). If you use Glycerin at night, you won't need to continue reapplying during the day like other lotions.
