the problem is, you WON'T get more money for the hand quilted product...you can ask for it... and hope, but the price difference will hold up any sale... put a few appliques on a 2' square and then try your plan... you can tell if it's pretty (and i cannot see why it wouldn't be) and then you will have some idea what it will look like...i'm not sure of your reasoning... I hand quilt the difficult and detailed part (like your center) and then fill in the backgrounds quickly and as fully filled as i like with the longarm.... different strokes for different quilters!
