Quilters dream is what is most readily available to me. I use the lowest loft poly or dream wool to hand quilt. I was really disappointed with the last Mountain Mist batt that I purchased. It was not even ( clumps and holes) so I have not used it in years. When I was in Houston I looked really hard at Pellon. I did not want to ship it, so I did not buy, but now I regret that decision.

I am a handquilter who quilts for hire. Before babies I did a queen every six weeks ( with preschoolers in the house now it is a lot less). I look for non scrim batts that needle easily. My quilts usually are quilted every 2-3 inches apart. I will NOT use a cotton, as I have not found any that are as smooth to quilt as wool. I usually purchase by the case through my local quilt shop. I wish I could buy at wholesale, but my overall volume is too low to warrent it. Handquilting is a labor of love, but I don't want to labor over every stitch.
