I like a stash with tons of variety-the more the better. If I see something I like but have no planned use for it, I FORCE myself to buy 1/2 yard max. That way I can buy more variety. If I find a hard-to get HUE vs specific design (a good yellow, good lights etc, non-floral blues for my boys etc)...then I get 3 yards. It must be a hue/light that I would use in several different quilts.
