If it is something I think I will use for borders--3 yards (of course it does depend on how good the sale is!!) If I just want that color, a fat quarter. again depending on price 1 or 2 yards. For smaller projects 2 or 3 -- 1/2 yard pieces would probably be enough for most projects.
