Don't feel weird for what others might say - they don't have to know anyway. Don't feel weird on your own behalf either as it is your own place. You don't have to have it to suit the occasional visitor. I have a one bedroom place and most of the stuff is in the lounge room. I'm past caring what others think and it suits me fine.
