How much time do you spend in the bedroom and how much time do you spend quilting?
I would do it but hubby just wouldn't understand.

Be practical. If the room fits, use it! I got to buy a house with a room just for my sewing and crafts up-stairs but I really wish I could sew in the dinning room. My husband does like the clutter that comes with my sewing. So, I will stay up-stairs.

YOU are the MASTER/MISTRESS/ of the house. Use your rooms anyway you want to. Switch everything around, well, the bathroom and kitchen have to stay the same I guess. Think of yourself as a new home designer.

Heck yes! I moved into one of my small bedrooms and rented out the master bedroom to a student. When I don't have to do that anymore (for the income), that room is going to be my studio for sure! 2 large windows, 2 large closets, room to do the fandango - what's not to love?

I laugh and say how did I ever raise my kids in this house, I am spread out to every room now. My living room, the largest sunnyest room, is now my sewing room, both my machines, cutting table and fabric storage all in there. Still have the tv set, stero and a sofa, but I work and have very little company, so who cares which room I use.

If it were me, I'd definitely make one of the larger rooms into my sewing room. I love a pretty bedroom, but my sewing room would get priority because I'd be spending a lot more of my waking time in there.
