Mine ruptured New Year's Day, 2007. I thought I had the flu but by Jan.4th I was so sick and in so much pain I had my husband take me to the hospital. I was full of infection and my appendix was in 5 different places. The doctor said he could not have saved me had I waited another 2 hours. I was in the hospital for several days, a week with a caregiver and then home and down for four months. I was 59 at the time but your daughter's age will give her quite the advantage.
