The same thing happened when my son was 22 yo. They took it out as soon as it was safe to do so. In my opinion, take it out! I had mine taken out during my last surgery - purely voluntary - haven't noticed a difference, just peace of mind.

I would think she should get the appendix out after they give her the green light. I'd think it would just cause her problems again in future if not.
I'm about to have my gall bladder out. My last attack lasted 24 hours! I know it will take time to get over it. just wish i knew what to eat or drink!
