Hold on...................breathe...................... .......binding is your friend. It means you can cuddle with the quilt (which is almost done) on your lap when you hand sew the back of the binding down. I have found I am NEVER pleased with machine sewing the back of the binding. It looks like a runaway train ran all over the binding. Now..................you can either hand sew what you have while just folding UNDER the raw edge, or, you can cut a slightly wider binding and put it over your binding you have, or, you can whistle and sing a lullaby while you "unsew" the binding. If you do a slightly wider binding, you can even leave a little of the original binding showing so it looks like another stream of color. Use any "mistake" as an adventure in creativity! The trick is to love it, and give that love to the quilt and the person receiving it. We have all been there and might very well be there again. Laugh about it. Hugs to you.
