ok as a bank teller i do have to comment on this - i don't mean it to sound mean or nasty. But the bank i work at the upper management EXPECTS us to repeat what the customer is doing. they actually listen to make sure we are repeating it back to them. so it is not that we don't listen - it is part of our job.
