I am also doing the McCalls mystery quilt. Using the reds. This is the first one I have ever done and having fun with it. Already for step three. Only problem is I will always have to use color catcher, because nothing I have done stops the red from oneof the fabrics, but I love it so much I will put up with it. karate lady have you tried using white vinegar to rinse/wash your reds in? i use it in the wash & rinse water for my reds and it seems to help. why is it that reds alway seem to run?
