A few days ago, I posted pictures of the large lap quilt I had been making for my only brother who was in the hospital. He was recovering and I thought it would be great to use while recouperating. Sadly, he took a turn for the worse and passed away on November 30, 2011, before I could complete it.
http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...e-t179098.html This only left my youngest sister Dianne and myself. Dianne has raised her two grandsons for the last 15 years. Darien, 15, is autistic. At 65, this is a real challenge for Dianne. We all took my brother's death so hard, but Darien kept thinking he was a sissy because he couldn't go to see Carson in the hospital before he passed. So, after a few months to grieve, I decided to finish the quilt for Darien to comfort him and on the label I told him it would be like he was receiving a hug from Uncle Carson, Nana and Aunt Donna each time he wrapped up in the quilt.
