Thanks for all the great ides! I am leaning toward doing the 10 minute block with the 2 butterfly corners, a blue corner and a purple corner. I will use the yellow and orange for the centers. I think this will show enough of the butterflys AND her favorite colors.
I'd probably do the butterflies as the centers and outer border and use the other colors for the squares behind the butterflies and use a solid as an inner border.
