I was told that it not just the sugars grams intake you do and watch ..watch your carbs. intakes walk briskly at least 30 mintures a day and lower your carbs intake to 300 grams a day until you get use to that ..Dr say it not what you can`t have it what you can have .. watch your starch..like potatoes .breads.carrots,,ect// and you can have a hershery chocolate candy bar like one bar mini or you can buy one big bar and last 3 days chocolate does not have carbs, sugars only hersherys ,,,,just don`t overdue certain foods ...and you will find as you go along it get easier not so bad as long as you are in control,, go to the local diabetics class they offer at hospital and clinic that help alots and good luck and god bless
