The machine itself is worth more than that. If it were me, I'd snap it up, too. You won't regret it. You should be able to get it completely serviced for under $100, I just paid $75 here in CO. It should give you years and years of pleasure and awesome sewing. The stitches are so beautiful. I have two Bernina's and wouldn't part with either of them.
