I love it when the cutter takes an interest and asks questions about what I'm going to do with the fabric. I used to be a department manager at Michaels and learned as much as I could about every craft we had supplies for. I would read the backs of all the glues when I stocked the shelves and volunteer to make store samples so I could learn new products to be able to answer questions and help customers. The Michaels in my neighborhood doesn't seem to be bothered with customer service. The Joanns is alright, but it's such a mess all the time, probably because they keep a bare minimum of staff on duty, poor ladies never have time to get things done, having to run from cutting table to register all the time. I'd love to work there and organize fabric for them as long as I didn't have to run a register

. My Walmart stopped carrying fabric, then got some back, but it's all stuff I wouldn't use, so I never go there anymore.
