Kat is right, but remember that something which is 2x as large in 2 directions, is really 4x as large if you are looking at the fabric requirements (sometimes more, if things "hit" wrong on fabric widths. Enlarging is a fine way to go. Some of us use a single supersized block for a baby or lap quilt. If you are having specific problems figuring out fabric requirements, several of us on the site are more than able to calculate it for you, let us help if you need it.
