My walmart got rid of the fabrics a few years back and went to precut. It was horrible..Enough complaints and now we have our fabric department with a very large selection of fabrics. Each store allows the dept. manager to order, and we are so lucky that our manager here orders good quality fabric. I have stopped in to see the normal clerk that is in the department to say HI even when I need nothing,. It is a joy to shop there..I don't get this good service at Joannes. Although they just hired a very nice young man at my Joannes this past week that is a wealth of sewing information and very cordial too.
