just yesterday I made a rag quilt that started with9" squares. I used flannel both sides for the first time--I usually use flannel only on one side. Anyway, it was7x8 squares, that finished at 8", so 56x64 and I did it start (with cutting) to finish (ready to toss in washer) in well under 8 hours. I forgot to photograph it and gave it away today. but, it was easy and so cozy and comfortable. I simply sewed diagonally each way to layer the 3 layers together.
