Bobbins for 201 and other vintage machines
I have a Singer 201-3 and need some more bobbins. Does it take class 66 bobbins? No where in the manual does it actually say what bobbin it takes. Manuals just seem to assume that you are using the bobbins provided with the machine and if you are a second owner, they may not be there. I'd also like to know if there is a chart anywhere that lists what size bobbins go with what machine. I have a bag of class 15 bobbins and I don't know what machines use this size. I'd also like to know whether I should search for vintage bobbins or will the newer reproductions work as well. Can I use plastic bobbins in vintage machines or should I stick to the metal ones? Your help would be appreciated.
