i would definitly go back & talk to her- and show her the oopsies---
then i would start (shopping around) for a different quilter-
look at other's work & do some comparison price checking-
i paid over $300 to have a quilt quilted once- but it was HUGE! as in 120" x 135"....and he did an amazing, amazing job- he is a quilter who has won prizes at International Quilt Show in Houston---so i was prepared to pay the price- but i've never seen anyone else charge so much on a (local) basis- your avatar does not give us any hints as to where you are- and location does matter- but i'm sure you can find someone you would be happy with who would charge 1/2 that- or less-
but do contact the quilter & show her what you are unhappy with & talk to her- she needs to know you are unhappy-just try to not be----'confrontational-emotional' about it
