Is there anything special I need to do/know about when making a duvet cover? I have a lot of fabric left over from the king size quilt I made for our bed last year and I'm in the process of making a quilt top out of it. (Wayyyyy over bought!
) It dawned on me that I could make a duvet cover for our down comforter to use in the winter. It won't be king sized, the down comforter only measures 81x90. The cover that I have on it right now is a totally different style/pattern, and I think it would look really neat to have a duvet cover out of the same fabric as the quilt, but a different design. I just wonder if there is anything special I need to do. Should I possibly line the pieced top? Or will it be ok as is? I'm probably going to back it with coordinating fabric, I don't know if I have enough of the same fabric that I used to back the quilt.
